About Me

I’ve had a lot of people tell me I should put some personal “stuff” about myself on this website because it seems so “dry and corporate”. To that comment I responded, “isn’t that the point?” The answer I got from that was “no dude, you’re supposed to let people know who you are and what you like. The days of the old ‘plaster your resume to the Web’ and expect it to stick out are over”.

So, here’s my attempt at letting you know who I am. Who Jay Adkins is, as a person instead of a corporate android who’s only mission is to build the latest and greatest website this planet has ever been privileged to host. Ok, so maybe I went a little overboard on that last part, but hey..it’s how I roll!

Anyway, I live in the Midwest. More precisely, in the Kansas City metropolis of what we call the suburbs. You know the type. Soccer moms, SUVs, Executive types with the gated yards and painted-on grass. Keep up with the Jones type mentality rampant throughout with a Starbucks on every corner across from the well-known named pharmacies.

I’m a thirty-something with three beautiful children, a dog and some type of a fluff ball my wife says is a cat. I have a very strong love of music and I have loads of it in lots of different genres. A very eclectic collection if I might say so. There’s really not a whole lot more I can say, but hopefully that will give you a little insight into who I am. If you’d like to know more, just ask.
